چکیده
Four local efficient biofertilizer strains namely, Gluconacetobacter G1 and Azospirillum ACD-15 as nitrogen fixers, Pseudomonas striata phosphorus solubilizing bacterium and a potassium were used in developing NPK consortia. Each consortia consisted of one the two fixing bacteria, phosphate (PSB) (KSB) bacteria five different formulations lignite, kaolinite, liquid, Na-alginate bentonite. These evaluated under in vitro on maize germination seedling vigour. Growth kinetics each strain was after their compatibility confirmed. The population four assessed at ambient conditions over 90 days. survival individual influence vigour to identify efficiency Among formulations, liquid supported significantly higher DAS. Liquid formulation recorded highest (94.25 per cent) (3850.43).

Maize (Zea mays L.).
Agrobacterium tumefaciens-mediated transformation is an effective method for introducing genes into maize. In this chapter, we describe a detailed protocol for genetic transformation of the maize genotype Hi II. Our starting plant material is immature embryos cocultivated with an Agrobacterium strain carrying a standard binary vector. In addition to step-by-step laboratory transformation proced...
متن کاملInteractive studies of potassium and copper with cadmium on seed germination and early seedling growth in maize (Zea mays L.).
In the present study a novel approach has been made to evaluate the toxicity of cadmium in maize (Zea mays L. cv KJ9451) in terms of germination, seedling growth, pigment development and relevant enzyme activity and the possible remedial approach using potassium and copper to reduce cadmium toxicity. For the present investigations maize seeds were sown in petridishes on filter paper in triplica...
متن کاملInfluence of Zinc and Cadmium on Physiological and Biochemical Characteristics of Maize (Zea mays L.)
This research was carried out as pod cultivation to evaluate effect of different level of zinc and cadmium on agro physiological traits of Maize via factorial experiment based on completelly randomized design with three replications along 2012-2013. The factors included different level of Zinc (Zn1=0 or Control, Zn2=15 and Zn3=30 mg.kg-1) and Cadmium (Cd1=0 or control, Cd2=10, Cd3=20 and Cd4=30...
متن کاملEffect of Sowing Methods and NPK Levels on Growth and Yield of Rainfed Maize (Zea mays L.)
To investigate the response of rainfed maize to sowing methods and NPK levels, an experiment was undertaken during kharif of 2011 and 2012 at Dryland (Kerawa) Agriculture Research Station, Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Kashmir, Budgam. The experiment was laid out in a randomized block design with combination of 2 sowing methods (flat sowing, 75 cm apart ro...
متن کاملEffects of aluminum toxicity on maize (Zea mays L.) seedlings
Aluminum toxicity is one of the most deleterious factors for plant growth in acidic soils because over 50% of the world’s potentially arable lands are acidic. In recent years, considerable research has been conducted to understand the mechanisms of Al toxicity and tolerance in plants. This paper reviews the effects of different concentration of Al on plant shoot, root physiological parameters s...
